Police: Driver flees after crashing in Fairmount Park

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- Authorities are searching for the driver of a car who crashed in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park section and then ran away.

It happened on Chamounix Drive near Belmont Avenue at 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the driver lost control and veered off the road. The vehicle went down an embankment and landed upside down.

There were no reports of any injuries and no sign of the driver.
