An accident involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle has closed I-76 eastbound lanes at University Avenue.

GRAYS FERRY (WPVI) -- The eastbound lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway at University Avenue have reopened after a crash involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. Monday in Philadelphia's Grays Ferry section.

The impact of the crash cause the truck to leak oil, while some debris ended up in the westbound lanes.

A person in the car was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment. Police have not released that person's condition.

That vehicle was towed away from the scene.

The side of the tractor-trailer crashed over the median and the truck split at the side.

Crews had to unload the cargo from the truck so they could tow it away.

The cargo appeared to be kegs of beer.

The truck was finally towed after five hours and all lanes reopened.

No word on what caused the crash.
