Tractor-trailer crash slows traffic on I-295 in Mercer County, NJ

LAWRENCE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A tractor-trailer crash slowed traffic on I-295 in Lawrence Township Thursday morning.

It happened before 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes near Route 1 and Exit 67.

Police say the big rig jackknifed and crashed.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed the cab lying on its side, partially crushed between the front section of the truck's trailer and a concrete median divider.

There were no reports of serious injuries.

A hazardous materials crew was on the scene, cleaning up a small amount of diesel fuel that spilled on the highway.

All three northbound lanes were blocked at the scene, with one lane of traffic getting by on the shoulder.
