Tractor-trailer crashes into pole, brings down wires

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A tractor-trailer crashed into a pole in Hamilton Township, New Jersey - causing a mess of downed wires and some power outages.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday along Route 40 near Route 322.

The accident left several area traffic lights and local customers without power for some time.

All eastbound lanes were shut down as the scene was cleared and repairs were made.

The accident is under investigation.
