Tree falls on taxi in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- A taxi driver had some minor injuries after a large tree suddenly fell on top of his car, and another parked car early Sunday morning.

It happened on the 300 block of South 44th Street in University City.

The driver was treated at Mercy Hospital.

No passengers were in the taxi at the time.

Police blocked off the area as the fallen tree, and damaged vehicles are removed.
