NEW HOPE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two vehicles were smashed when a large tree came crashing down on a Bucks County roadway Monday morning.
It happened just before 9:00 a.m. along River Road near Bowman's Hill Tower Road in New Hope.
A man was behind the wheel of a silver car and a female was driving a red vehicle.
Officials say both of them were hurt, but their injuries were described as non-life threatening.
The road was closed for almost 2 hours so crews could clear the damaged vehicles and the tree debris.
Police suspect the recent rains softened the wood, causing the tree to give way.
