2-alarm fire displaces families in Upper Providence

UPPER PROVIDENCE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A 2-alarm fire gutted one home and damaged a neighboring home in Upper Providence, Delaware County.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. Thursday on the 600 block of Summer Street.

PECO was called to the scene after the flames brought down electrical wires.

The Red Cross is assisting at least three families displaced by the fire.

One of the people affected is a Red Cross employee.
