Most kinds of exercise are good for us.

But now a new study says some sports may be better than others when it comes to preventing premature death.

Racquet sports such as tennis came in first, meaning most beneficial.

It was followed by swimming. And then aerobics.

Researchers in Finland and Australia followed more than 80,000 people for nine years for the study.

Cycling was also associated with a lower risk for dying.

But runners were not found to have less risk.

The researchers can't prove the activities directly lead to a longer life - just that there is a link.
