Mom asks adults not to ignore her son in public
Mom asks adults not to ignore her son in public: Sharrie Williams reports during Action News at 4 p.m. on September 5, 2017.

One mom says she's a bit frustrated with how much her toddler gets ignored when her son gets ignored by strangers.

Audra Rogers is the mother of a three year old son.

In an article on Babble.com she writes nothing makes her son happier than running up and talking to every person he sees.

She says that may be a little jarring to strangers, but the little boy is bright eyed and bushy tailed and has a passion for talking. She adds he's not overly bothersome, just outgoing.

But some adults respond to her 3-year-old with complete silence or simply walk away.

She writes: "He's simply a child that is excited about life and he likes to talk about it. And I want him to hang on to that as long as he can before the world tells him to be quiet."

She asks adults to consider acknowledging children when they talk to you, even if just a quick polite smile. Your response helps shape their view of the world.
