Should kids be rewarded for doing their chores?

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Most of us remember doing chores as kids - anything from emptying the dishwasher to sweeping and doing the laundry.

But according to a Braun Research study, 82 percent of parents did chores as a kid, but only 28 percent make their own kids do them.

And many admit they now pay, or reward, their kids for it.

Experts at Parents Magazine are telling parents to reconsider that. They say chores are every family member's responsibility and obedience and good behavior are not "paid for."

A mom blogger named Justine LoMonaco says her two year old does chores.

In her viral blog, she assigns tasks a toddler can handle like picking up her toys, helping in the garden and wiping up after meals to get her used to helping.
