Action News Mornings team celebrates 20 years of working together

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Action News Mornings team is celebrating 20 years of working together!

It was 20 years ago on Thursday when the Eagles lost Super Bowl 39 to the New England Patriots - and Andy Reid was on our side then.

That was the start of a long run for the Action News Mornings team with Matt O'Donnell, Tamala Edwards and Karen Rogers.

Karen Rogers completed her very first assignment for Action News at the big game.

Matt Pellman also joined the crew not long after the start and has been helping us navigate the city ever since!

Longtime meteorologist and reporter David Murphy signed off during Action News Mornings in 2021 after wrapping up an incredible 31-year career with 6abc!

We also recently welcomed Alyana Gomez to the team!

The last two decades have been a thrill ride, like when the gang rode El Toro rollercoaster at Great Adventure for team bonding. Or the time Tamala showed off her football skills.
