SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Water covered an intersection in South Philadelphia after a water main broke overnight.

It happened around midnight at Oregon Avenue and Front Street.

Water crews shut off a 12-inch main that broke, but not before gushing water flooded the intersection.

Traffic was able to get by, but there were icing concerns as the temperatures dropped.

There was no immediate word when the main would be repaired.
