With the winter weather and freezing temperatures, people found a different kind of wave to ride on Monday.

BORDENTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) -- After being cooped up all weekend because of the cold, people wanted to get out on Monday. So, whether it was a quick run to the store in the snow, or a trip to the water park with the kids, folks say they just had to get out of the house.

Chris Saracino of Delran says, "We had a long period of time where we weren't getting anything. Now all of a sudden it's wintertime again."

It was a pretty scene watching the snow falling along Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown, and much the same along Main Street in Moorestown - quiet and picturesque.

Jen Conicella of Mt. Laurel tells us, "We didn't go anywhere. We stayed in the house the whole weekend."

Same with Matt Conicella, who says, "I was cooped up yesterday. So I'm gonna get out for a few minutes to go get something to eat."

After two days indoors because of bitter cold temperatures, it was time to get out and turn in the hats and gloves for swimsuits.

With kids off from school on Monday, parents headed to Sahara Sam's Water Park in West Berlin.

Linda Drexel of Pittsgrove says, "Oh my gosh. Yesterday my son was bouncing off the walls. I needed to get them out, absolutely."

It's not quite the same as surfing at the Jersey Shore, but kids were having a ball on the Flowrider, where the waves never stop.

Jessica Dingler says, "At first you get nervous, but then once you're on it you have a rush and you just do tricks and hope not to wash out."

Shawn McCloud of Hammonton says, "Perfect day to be here. Why be outside when you can be inside? 80 degrees."
