House fire forces evacuations in West Philadelphia

A fast-moving fire damaged a house in West Philadelphia.

The blaze broke out before 3:30 a.m. Thursday on the 5900 block of Addison Street.

Crews arrived to flames showing in the rear of the house on the second floor.

The home along with neighboring houses had to be evacuated.

Firefighters placed the blaze under control within fifteen minutes.

There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
