Man stabbed in the chest in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Authorities are searching for the person who stabbed a 37-year-old man in the chest in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 10:00 p.m. in the 5500 block of Christian Street.

The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

Initial reports indicate that the attacker was a woman. She remains at large.

No word on a motive.

The victim's name has not been released.

Police are investigating.
