2 suspects in custody after Wilmington police chase uncovers illegal firearms

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- Two suspects are in custody in connection with a police chase in Wilmington.

The incident happened Tuesday night in the area of Jackson Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said the driver of a BMW failed to negotiate the ramp to I-95 and ran off the road.

Inside the car, police found a MAC-10 machine gun and a second handgun.

Police are working to determine if the firearms have been used in any of the recent shootings in the city.
