Driver seriously injured when car overturns on I-95

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after his vehicle overturned in a crash on I-95 in Wilmington.

It happened around 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes near Frawley Stadium.

Authorities say the driver, 27-year-old Ian B. Anderson was behind the wheel of a Nissan Altima when he lost control.

The car swerved, struck a concrete barrier, and overturned.

Police say Anderson was trapped inside and had to be freed. He was taken to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
