WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Wilmington police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection to a shooting that left a teen injured Thursday evening.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the area of Pleasant Street and N. Vanburen Street.

Police say Carlos Rodriguez was taken into custody after a search warrant was issued at a residence on the unit block of South Broom Street.

The 18-year-old victim was transported by private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington with gunshot wounds to the legs.

He is listed in stable condition.

Rodriguez is charged with assault and possession of a firearm.
