Authorities say 43-year-old Cuve Harding stole the vehicle from the New Castle County Police Department headquarters parking lot Tuesday morning.

She was then involved in an accident at Lancaster Pike and Centerville Road and fled the scene.

A couple hours later, police spotted her and arrested her without incident.

Harding has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft greater than $1,500, theft under $1,500 and (two counts) of attempted theft under $1,500.

She's being held on $5,000 bail.
