Woman rescued from septic tank in Mullica Twp., N.J.

MULLICA TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A South Jersey woman is recovering after she was rescued from a septic tank.

Firefighters recorded the dramatic rescue Thursday afternoon.

It happened on the 3600 block of Nesco Road in Mullica Township.

Authorities say the victim was trapped for two hours about ten feet underground.

It's believed she fell through the rotted cover of the abandoned tank.
