Woman struck, killed on Roosevelt Blvd. in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Police are on the scene after a woman was struck on the Roosevelt Boulevard in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.

Investigators say the 70-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes at Tyson Avenue around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The view from Chopper 6 showed firefighters blocking the lanes while police investigate.

Police say the driver stopped at the scene. The circumstances of this crash remain under investigation.
