Body found in Banning Park in New Castle County

NEW CASTLE CO., Del. (WPVI) -- New Castle County police say a body was discovered in Banning Park Thursday afternoon.

Police responded around 2 p.m. after a report of a body found in the Richardson Park neighborhood.

They closed the park entrance in the 100 block of Middleboro Road to investigate.

The body was spotted in a wooded area close to Maryland Avenue.

So far, no further details have been released.
