Body of a man found in Delaware River

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The body of a badly decomposed man was found floating in the Delaware River Sunday afternoon.

The body was spotted near Pier 24 along the 200 block of Christopher Columbus Blvd.

New Jersey State police retrieved the body then handed it off to the Philadelphia Police Marine Unit.

The body was taken to the Medical Examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
