VIRAL VIDEO: Epic sendoff for beloved boss

LONDON (KGO) -- When employees at online luxury retailer Net-A-Porter learned that their much-loved CEO was stepping down, they knew a conventional celebration wouldn't do. So they orchestrated an epic sendoff that he'll remember for the rest of his life.

CEO Mark Sebba arrived at work for what he thought would be a normal day, and was greeted by hundreds of dancing employees holding posters and portraits of their beloved boss, along with a choir of gospel singers, a mariachi band, and several dancers wearing head-dresses.

And though the company is headquartered in London, offices in New York, New Jersey, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Charlton also took part in the big surprise via video message.

The elaborate effort was set to Aloe Blacc's hit song "The Man."

According to Executive Chairman and Founder of the Net-A-Porter Group, Natalie Massenet, she and fellow execs wanted "an amazing and personal tribute to this incredible man who has run our business for the last 11 years."

"We wanted him to feel how much we love him and give him the recognition he deserves -- and to make him immortal in the digital world," she added.

Massenet says employees were so committed to the surprise that they returned to the office after hours to rehearse.

She says that Sebba was blown away and that he "just couldn't stop talking about it and thanking everyone. As he said on the film, he was overwhelmed."
