Dad saves son from flying bat at spring training

A dad has proven that there is nothing like parenting reflexes.

He didn't flinch when it came time to stop a baseball bat flying into his son's face.

In the pictures, you can see just how close it came to hitting 8-year-old Landon in the face.

He was texting pictures of the Pirates and Braves game to his mom and sister, and didn't realize he was in danger.

A Pittsburgh tribune sports photographer caught the split section reaction by his dad.

Dad says his wrist hurts and the bat did hit Landon's shoulder, but both of them are fine.

They even got to keep the bat.
