Fire breaks out in Grays Ferry church

GRAYS FERRY (WPVI) -- Fire in a church basement sent smoke billowing through the building in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia.

The fire happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday at 21st and Reed streets.

Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames.

No one was in the church at the time.

A cause is under investigation.
