Firefighter, 3 others injured in Northeast Phila. fire

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A firefighter was injured battling a fire in Northeast Philadelphia that also sent three others to the hospital.

The fire broke out on the 8600 block of Yale Place around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say the firefighter twisted his ankle and was checked at the scene.

Three people inside also suffered injuries, but the severity is unknown.

Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
