PENN'S LANDING (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a blaze on a pier at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.
Action News is told the fire started around 4:45 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Christopher Columbus Boulevard.
The Marine Unit of the Philadelphia Fire Department was on the scene.
The fire was declared under control in less than an hour.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Fire investigators were working to determine what sparked the blaze.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area as cleanup work continued.
