Firefighters rescue man from burning Atlantic County hotel room

GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Firefighters saved a person trapped by flames inside an Atlantic County motel Thursday.

The fire broke out just after 4:30 p.m. at the Country Inn on White Horse Pike in Galloway Township.

Authorities say a man was rescued from a burning room and air-lifted to the hospital. His condition is not known.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

There is no word yet on a cause.
