His accomplice, on the right, has been identified as Andrew Ellerbe.

Ellbere was killed in a shootout with the off-duty detective at the time of the robbery last week.

Philadelphia Police chief Inspector Scott Small said the detective had just walked in to order food at the Rising Sun Pizza when Ellerbe allegedly put a gun to his head while forcing him to the ground.

Police say they took $20 from the detective's hand.

Ellerbe then fired two shots at point blank range at the officer.

The detective returned fire, and hit Ellerbe who later collapsed on the 500 block of Tyson Street and died.

Fortunately, the officer was not hurt.

The incident is under investigation.
