$1,000 reward for suspect in home invasion, sex assault

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA -- Police are still searching for the man behind a violent home invasion in Southwest Philadelphia.

27-year-old Richard Brown is accused of breaking into a home on the 1800 block of South 55th Street back on August 28th.

"He entered the house and sexually assaulted the victim and we're looking for him," said Santo Montecalvo of the Citizens Crime Commission.

Police say Brown was armed with a knife at the time of the attack.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

Brown is described as 5'8" tall, 180 pounds with multiple tattoos on his neck and upper chest area.
