1 dead, 2 critical in Summerdale tavern shooting

SUMMERDALE -- One man is dead and two others are in critical condition after a shooting at a tavern in the Summerdale neighborhood.

The incident happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday inside Tanqueray Tavern at Summerdale and Godfrey avenues.

A 34-year-old man was shot and killed inside the tavern, police said.

Police rushed the man to Einstein Medical Center where was pronounced dead on arrival.

A private vehicle rushed the other two victims, 42 and 51-years-of-age to Aria-Torresdale. They are in critical condition.

Police are treating the men as prisoners.

All three victims were wearing biker jackets.

After the shooting, police said at least 15 bikers fled the area.

Another man, 35-years-old was taken by private vehicle to Lankenau Hospital. He is in stable condition.

Police are currently investigating.
