HARRISBURG, Pa. (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane says she expects to see more fallout from an email scandal like the suspension of state Supreme Court Justice Michael Eakin.
Kane's statement Wednesday came a day after a state judicial ethics court suspended Eakin with pay. She says outside lawyers hired by her office are reviewing over 1 million emails.
The court described Eakin's emails as insensitive and inappropriate toward gender, race, sexual orientation and ethnicity.
Eakin's emails were discovered by Kane's office because some were exchanged with a state prosecutor.
Kane turned them over to judicial ethics agencies three months ago. A prior investigation last year cleared Eakin and Kane says officials within the justice system looked the other way or improperly excused the justice's emails.
