Armored truck overturns near Platt Bridge in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police and rescue crews responded to the scene of an overturned armored truck at the base of the Platt Bridge in Southwest Philadelphia.

Chopper 6 was over Penrose and Island Avenue Friday night.

Action News is told the driver may be trapped, and emergency teams are trying to get that person out.

A very large police presence was on the scene, presumably to protect the cargo inside the armored vehicle.

No word yet on any injuries.
