Basement fire damages home in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A basement fire kept firefighters busy early Wednesday in Northeast Philadelphia.

First responders were called to the 7200 block of Claridge Street at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.

It took about 15 minutes for them to get this blaze under control.

Everyone was able to get out of the home safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
