The fire broke out before 6 a.m. at the intersection of 58th and Catherine streets.
Smoke and flames damaged the house. Crews also checked neighboring homes for damage.
It took firefighters about a half an hour to get the blaze under control.
So far, there is no word on any injuries.
The fire marshal is working to determine what sparked the blaze.
