Brush fire burns between Delaware River and I-95

KENSINGTON -- A large brush fire burned in the Kensington section of Philadelphia Monday evening.

The fire was located near the intersection of Lehigh Ave. and Richmond St. between the Delaware River and Interstate 95.

Flames could be seen burning through the brush, with smoke rising into the air.

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control.

Despite its proximity to I-95, the fire did not impacted traffic.
