JONESPORT, Maine (WPVI) -- The U.S. Coast Guard has recovered the bodies of a local husband and wife who apparently died while canoeing near Jonesport Maine over the weekend.
The couple has been identified as 58-year-old Roy and 53-year-old Judith Carlile from Warrington, Pennsylvania.
A fisherman spotted Roy's body entangled in lobster gear in Chandler Bay on Saturday. His wife Judith was found dead in the water around 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
The couple owned a vacation home in Jonesport, officials said.
They were both found wearing life jackets.
Their canoe has not been found.
