Crews battle blaze inside vacant houses in Kensington

Chopper 6 HD was over a fire on Clearfield Street which damaged several row houses.

KENSINGTON -- Firefighters battled a blaze inside two vacant houses in the Kensington section of Philadelphia Thursday morning.



The fire broke out just before 6:30 a.m. in a vacant row house on the 1800 block of East Clearfield Street.



Officials say the fire quickly spread to an adjoining vacant home.



The fire was placed under control within the half hour.



So far, there is no report of any injuries.



The fire marshal is working to determine what sparked the blaze.
