Crews battle high-rise apartment fire in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a high-rise apartment blaze in Philadelphia's Germantown section

The fire broke out around 8:25 p.m. Tuesday along the 2900 block of School House Lane.

Crews arrived to smoke showing on the 9th floor of the 12-story building. The building was evacuated as a precaution.

They managed to douse the fire in a little more than a half hour.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
