NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a crash that sent a car smashing into a deck in Northeast Philadelphia.
The accident was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. Friday along the 10000 block of Jamison Avenue.
The scene left passersby wondering how in the world it could happen.
Police say the car was traveling along Jamison Road when it was hit broadside by a pickup.
The driver lost control, crashed through the fence, launching over the pool.
Fortunately, the driver managed to walk away uninjured.
No one was in the backyard at the time.
Action News spoke to the driver about her harrowing experience.
"I think I'm dying," is what Joby Thomas of Northeast Philadelphia tells us was going through her head.
The car has since been towed, but witnesses say it was like a scene from the Dukes of Hazard.
L&I came out to inspect the home. It appears not to have sustained any damage.
The family is counting their blessings. They say if the crash would have happened just 15 minutes later, four children would have been playing in the pool.
