Delco EMT accused of sexting with 15-year-old junior firefighter

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Delaware County EMT is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old junior firefighter.

Melissa Givens turned herself in Monday and charged with sexual abuse of children, corruption of a minor and related sex charges. She was arraigned on the charges in front of a district court judge in Prospect Park.

She was freed on her own recognizance.

Police say she had a relationship with a teenager that involved trading sending sexually explicit videos. The relationship allegedly lasted several months.

Givens is an EMT with the Norwood Fire Company, and is married to the chief of the fire department.
