NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A suspicious fire has destroyed a North Philadelphia restaurant as well as the owners' home.
The fire broke out around 1:20 a.m. Sunday in a three-story vacant home on the 2400 block of North Broad Street.
It quickly spread to another vacant home then ripped through the Asian American Take Out Restaurant on the corner property.
The owners were still in the restaurant at the time, but were able to escape safely.
The restaurant as well as the two stories above where the owners live were badly damaged.
Investigators believe someone may have started the blaze.
The fire was placed under control around 2:00 a.m.
