Firefighters battle smoky apartment fire in Spring Garden

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- Firefighters in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia were able to get a smoky electrical fire under control in less than an hour.

The blaze started at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment inside a building on the 300 block of North 11th Street.

A staging area was set up at 11th and Vine streets as crews worked located the source and douse the flames.

No injuries were reported.
