Firefighters battle high-rise blaze in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Fire crews were on the scene of a high-rise building blaze in Center City, Philadelphia.

The fire started around 1 a.m. Tuesday on the 1500 block of Market Street.

Crews responded after an odor and smoke was reported on the 11th floor of the building.

They began ventilating the floor with fans, and were able to place the fire under control.

There were no reports of injuries.

No word on what caused the blaze.
