HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Flames tore through a parked school bus in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
It happened around 11:00 a.m. Friday.
The vehicle was parked on US 1 Express in the 2500 block of East State Street Extension.
Authorities say it appears to have started in the front of the bus, near the engine compartment.
The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported.
Heavy smoke blew down the street to the nearby Klockner Elementary.
Officials say smoke got into the building through open windows and the school had to be evacuated and ventilated.
No students were injured but some were evaluated as a precaution.
