1 person hospitalized after head-on crash in Downingtown, Chester County

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- At least one person has been hospitalized following a head-on crash in Downingtown, Chester County.

It happened at 7:30 a.m. Thursday on Route 113 at Webb Road.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed a red SUV and a white sedan, both with extensive front-end damage.

Route 113 was shut down in both directions as police investigated and road crews worked to remove the vehicles.

Police tell Action News one person was taken to an area hospital. There was no immediate word on that person's condition.
