POWELTON (WPVI) -- A homeless family whose toddler wandered away in LOVE Park is getting a second chance.
Chosen 300, a local organization, presented Angelique Roland and Michael Jones with the keys to a house on Friday night.
Their 2-year-old son made headlines after he was found wandering alone in the park after midnight on Oct. 16.
The rent and utilities will be paid for a year, thanks to donations from strangers who saw their story on the news.
In addition, students from the Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School in Spring Garden raised $1,000 for the couple to buy appliances.
