Houses under construction go up in flames in Manayunk

Two new houses under construction went up in flames in Philadelphia's Manayunk section.

The fire started around 2:15 a.m. Friday on the 4000 block of Manayunk Avenue.

Heavy flames were showing on the roof area when firefighters arrived.

The houses were vacant and under construction.

Crews were able to get the fire under control rather quickly.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
