Man and woman wounded after shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left a man and woman wounded in Wilmington, Delaware.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of North Market Street.

Officers arrived to find a 21-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her stomach area, and a 27-year-old male shot in the hand.

Both victims were treated by medics on the scene, and then taken to Christiana Hospital for further treatment.
